GROUPS
Volunteer Bolivia organizes customized, comprehensive packages
for groups, colleges and universities. These packages can include:
language classes, volunteer work, and housing, and tours. Additionally, we can arrange
meetings with members of popular social movements, service
organizations in the public, non-governmental sectors and
others. We can provide presentations on Andean culture, social
issues facing Bolivia and other topics of special interest
to groups.
FAMILY SERVICES
Volunteer Bolivia happily accepts families for volunteer
work and can arrange all your local housing needs including
telephone and utilities. We can also set you up with childcare,
house cleaning services and any other special services that
you may need during your time in Bolivia.
In August 2003 we arrived in Cochabamba, exhausted from a 28 hour journey from the UK and very apprehensive about what we had let ourselves in for!
Lee and Javier of Volunteer Bolivia were there to meet us and whisked us off to the flat that they had arranged for our first month.
The next day, armed with a rough map of the city we made our way to the Volunteer Bolivia offices to plan the next step. read more . . . |

SENIORS
We can provide a memorable experience for people of all ages including retired folks!
There are three reasons why our month with Volunteer Bolivia was such an extraordinary and truly memorable experience.
1. As retired mathematics teachers, we enjoyed tutoring lively and appreciative kids, aged 6 - 10, three days a week in an after school center in La Cancha (Cochabamba’s amazing outdoor market). On the other two days, we helped severely handicapped children, playing with, feeding, and loving them.
2. We arrived in Cochabamba with very limited Spanish language skills. But, our professional, talented, and very patient teachers guided us through the entire structure of Spanish. It was a very demanding but rewarding experience.
3. Volunteer Bolivia is a well-run organization. They are flexible and adaptable to the needs of the volunteers. We always felt that our efforts were needed and valued.
